Hong Tuyet - Love singing and performing Vietnamese music.

If you frequent the Vietnamese Francophone forums then may be you've already met me at the turn of a conversation, but do not rely on my name because I am French and Hong Tuyet is a pseudo that I love particularly, a way to have a pretty and poetic Vietnamese name that means for me far more than its literary translation.

I am often asked why the Vietnam and not any other Asian countries but I can not express in words the nature of my feelings. While nothing predestined me to fall under the spell of Vietnam as I have never even visited this country. It is through readings, pictures and movies Vietnam has entered my heart and the only thing I can say today is that I feel completely happy being surrounded by Vietnamese culture.
 

I became an Asian, I am going to patronize the shelves of exotic products in supermarkets.
Sometimes I can not stand being away from paddy fields, markets where we ate with squatting peasants.
I'm torn I'm unable to walk down the streets of Hanoi
Then I made myself a Vietnam of my own.
I keep it in mind, I tell myself stories ...

 

You meet mandarins, bamboo forests, tea with lemongrass, girls in pink and white tunics, people with real smiles : courageous Vietnamese.
I am an Asian who by the lack of Asia ... grows it in her secret garden.

Creating these few pages among many other it is a way to tell everyone all my love for this country, and not to introduce the Vietnam but my own Vietnam, my country both dreamy and laborious.


 

I created this blog to share my passion for Vietnam but also, and especially the Vietnamese song ... little known in the world, yet it has many beautiful works of poetry ...

For if Vietnam is my first love we can say that the songs are undoubtedly the second. the desire to sing Vietnamese was born of the mixture of these two passions and my admiration for the musicality of the Vietnamese language.

First by myself, with Karaoke at home ... then with friends. Until the day that came for me the opportunity to sing in public at a show celebrating the Lunar New Year organized by a Vietnamese association.

This experience was a revelation, a moment of intense and unforgettable joy ... Through songs I was getting the possibility to reveal and share all my love for Vietnam ...
